Pause key during recording Video demo not work
Hello everybody, I dont know why, but Pause key during recording Video demo project not work. I tried all others keys what I see in the Preferences dialog box and all works corectly, only Pause key not. Can somebody help me? Win 7, Captivate 6.

What is the best video format for streaming video in Captivate 6 for html5 output?
I'm guessing it's h.264 mp4, but I haven't been able to get it to stream. Can you stream mp4s from Amazon S3?

To anyone else having a similar problem: the solution (while not ideal, since it requires disabling a desired feature) is to uncheck the "Show TOC" box in the TOC settings. To reiterate what was discussed in the forum, the problem apppears to be localised to Acrobat Pro/Reader XI. So far there is no resolution from Adobe.

Welcome to Adobe Forums.
A published project file in captivate generates multiple files after getting published and everything that's a part of the project is within those published files. It does not call the actual files on the system.

The only type of video that's going to work in HTML 5 is MP4. We have successfully tested this on different LMS's.

Problems opening a project
Hi! At work we are using CP4 and there is file that was created and saved, know when the person that is working in this project open the file there is only one blank slide and the project has about 260 slides. We try to imported to a new file in order to re-created it again and it doesn´t allow us, the program does´t do anything.
Any ideas on how to fix this? and the possible causes to avoid this kind of problems in the future?

Let me clarify, maybe I'm using the wrong terms. At some point, the content assets have to reside on the users machine in temp in order to view them - that is what's happening during a site's or a swf's initial load. My question is: does the main captivate file insist that everything within it be downloaded during initial load, or are the separate assets within the project loaded as they are required - as in a background jpg loading only when a given step in a system simulation is reached.
Does that make more sense?

Creating a quiz with one question, two responses and both anwsers are correct
How do I create a quiz (captivate 5.5) where there is one question and two responses to the one question and both responses are correct. Clicking on either one gives you a perfect score. We need a quiz in order to write to the LMS. Any ideas on how to do this?

You can do this by adding Multiple choice question and In quiz properties Check the Multiple Answers , After that you can select both the answers as correct. Please Find the screenshot.

Do you currently have the option in Properties tab > Timing for that animation set to Synchronise with Project? If so, try turning that off.

Re: Aggregating Quiz Results
As Lilybiri points out, an LMS will aggregate your scores for you and it should do the other things you were asking about. But each LMS is different in the way it presents this information. You may need to ask some LMS vendors to supply you with information so that you can read up on this area. This forum is more targeted at users of Adobe Captivate rather than LMS users per se.

I don't think Multiple Choice with tick boxes is what Sean is looking for. I believe he wants EITHER answer to be correct, but only one selected at a time.

Getting quiz results to report via the Acrobat.com option and be viewable in the quiz analyser
I'm a new Captivate 6 user and trying to get quiz results reporting to Acrobat.com and the Captivate Quiz Analyser. Everything is set up correctly as far as I know and i have referred to Adobe online help to do this. My quiz will show in the analyser, I can complete a quiz and post the results but there is a drop out in the middle as the results do not appear in the analyser. An additional problem is the requirement to login in with an Adobe ID to post the results - the people completing my quizzes are not necessarily going to have an Adobe ID. Our IT tech company have disabled the firewall to test if that is the problem - it isn't. I tried publishing the quiz as html5 but the output selection option in the publishing dialogue box is disabled - I cannot change this. I removed all non supported objects in the html5 tracker but to no avail so I can't test to see if the non result reporting function is a problem with Flash. So at this point Adobe Captivate 6 is a redundant piece of software unless I can get these two basic functions to work (reporting to acrobat.com and publishing html5 format).

As Rod points out, your suggestion will not work because in order to get a correct score the user should have to mark 'both' correct answers instead of one of them. Even partial scores, possible with MCQ, will not help.
Personally I would create a custom question slide. But to offer some suggestions, I need more information: do you want radiobuttons (which tell the user they should only use one answer) or checkboxes? Do you want to offer Retake/Review possibilities? Reporting to LMS will be possible but asks for some 'tweaks' (see links).
