I would suggest one change to Vikas's suggestions. In step 3, rather than typing in the variable as $$studentname$$ it would be better to use the button in Captivate that inserts this variable because that way you get the option to set the number of display characters length. Typing in the variable name surrounded by $$ signs doesn't give you any option to set the number of characters displayed, and the default is only 15 characters, which is likely to be too short. Doing it via the Insert Variable button allows you to set up to 250 characters as the display size.
