Check to see if you have any punctuation or unusual symbols in the text you are trying to generate into speech. If not, copy all text out to Notepad (which would strip off any formatting), delete your current TTS lines, and then copy your text back into NEW lines on the same slide.
If that doesn't work, worst case scenario is that your slide may be corrupted and you'll need to rebuild it from scratch.
