Hello and welcome,
Since Captivate is all about bitmap, it is never a good idea to upscale. Although that functionality is available, the quality of the resulting project can be disappointing.
The default play bars have a pause button. When you are uploading to a LMS, normally bookmarking is turned on and when the user returns (even on a different PC) he will be returned to where he left off. Without a LMS this is also possible (with cookies, by a setting in the TOC) but then the user has to use the same computer.
Drag&Drop is available, as are Fill-in-the-Blank, Sequence, Matching, Short Answer, Hot Spot and Rating Scale besides T/F and MCQ. Multiple Choice questions have partial score possible. All scored questions have penalty available.
Accessibility is rather good, and even improved in Captivate 7, which is just released.
I have been blogging a lot about shape buttons, fully customizable (insert an image in the shape...).
Have a look at Youtube for examples.
