The computer on which you tested at home was that the same computer on which you tried recording during the wireless connection?
Captivate recording feature doesn't depend on the internet speed or type . Adobe Captivate gets installed locally on on computer and it doesn't require any internet connection to work.
As the Recording feature In Adobe Captivate require that it should be running as a Administrator , So Did you tried to Run It as Administrator in the wireless environment ?
