In Captivate, it is easy to create an assessment. As Captivate is also compatible with SCORM, it should be possible to have the student's assessment results (and the details showing which tasks were not done well, or questions not being answered correctly) sent automatically to a SCORM-compatible LMS like aTutor which will store the results in a database.
The local experts I am in contact with have not yet had that connection work. That means, unfortunately, that the final assessment has to be made in the LMS, not in Captivate. The lack of integration means that only the seven different evaluation question types offered by the LMS can be used, whereas a proper 'show-that-you-can-actually-go-through-the-whole-process" evaluation is not possible.
If I create e-learning that should teach the student a certain procedure, I want to test him by asking him to go through the procedure (simulated in Captivate) and not test his theoretical knowledge just using questions. You know, the proof is in the pudding, not in answering questions about of the recipe...
I hope this clarifies what I am looking for.
