Re: Why use Javascript window.close() for Exit button?

I personally have been puzzled about this myself. If you have read the post at the link below, you hopefully understand that closing the window is fraught with issues. It is browser dependent as well as how the window was opened to begin with.

So I think the folks that opt for the JavaScript method are under the deluded belief that this method is more reliable than the other methods.
