Let me explain my situation: I'm a teacher and together with other teachers and students we planned to create some lessons to be used in mobile gadgets. Mobile was a must for our students. With a lot of enthusiasm we searched for software and the best solution for our needs seemed CP6, since it promised to fit our specs. So we spent some hundreds of euros buying this software. We developed graphic design, advanced actions, recorded vídeos and a lot of other work...and when published a lot of problems appeared. I'm not a coder or a designer, and (although I have a highly technical background) I thought the problems appeared was my fault. So I spent many hours (more than 100 for sure) reading or watching tutorials, I bought 2 books from Amazon and read this and other forums. Somebody suggested there was a problem with my Vista Laptop, so I moved to windows7. Because the problems still there I asked Adobe support to help me. I spoke to them, I let them watch my screen online, I send them the .cptx files, told me to try this and that...very nice people, always trying to help but no solution provided. Since CP6 was brand new, they asked me to wait for upgrades, and I did so and installed one or two. I also wrote a couple of Captivate experts, and designers friends of mine but no solution. But so after so much effort, I we realized it was not possible make it work. So the project is now abandonned. Hopefully solution will arrive and could consider restart project, that's why I try to keep updated. And I feel the need to help people who has my same problem, trying they do not loose the enormous amount of time and money i spent.
Captivate is a great software, no doubt. We are using at highschool use for quizes and presentations. But from my point of view shouldn't be advertised as html5 compliant until technical problems are solved.
