Hi Rick,
I just thought I'd let you know I solved this issue using Advanced Actions. Here's how I went about it.
1. I added transperant Smart Shapes over a graphic of a play button for each
2. The added audio files to each of these shapes
3. Created 3 Advanced Actions with > Show > hitArea (Smart Shape) and duplicated this for each transperant shape
4. Assigned each shape with its corresponding Advanced Action.
This works just fine. As the audio files are very short, 6 seconds long, I don't have to worry about having a pause option. And doing this Advanced Action by showing a transperant object with aduio atttached first paused the slide from moving on which I wanted and also it alows the user to keep clicking the same button over and over without triggering the other buttons. Fantastic!
I have to acknowledge Lieve (Lilybiri) here becasue I found her video very useful, see here http://youtu.be/M3nKi-DB6Fw on She showed how to attached audio to an image and then shows the image when the button is clicked thus playing the audio attached. So even though she was explaining the concepts of simple and stardard action I saw how I could control the audio for my situation. I'm sure there are other ways to accomplish this but this definitely does the job! thanks Lieve.
Cheers,
Ben
