Thank you for that information. I did not think of that approach and I was hopeful it would solve my problem, but it didn't. I don't use a playbar in my projects, I have custom navigation buttons. So, when I add the recorded slides into my project, I can't stop, rewind, fast forward etc because there is no playbar. As a test, I added a playbar but the playbar naviation applies to the entire project and not just the recording. Therefore, if I click REWIND, it goes to the beginning of the project and not the beginning of the recording.
I am new to Captivate, so perhaps my overall design is wrong. The requirement is multiple lengthly modules (50-60 slides), each with 5-7 software simulations (which if copied into the module would make it more like 100 slides), running as an executable in 1 window. For example, the training could be for service technicians who need to replace a headlamp in a car. The main menu provides 5 car models. The user picks the car model and progresses thru the course, with simulations. At any time the user can return to the main menu to pick another car model. In any event, the user should never leave the eLearning container or have to open another window to watch a video. I'm not sure this is possible with Captivate alone.
Thanks again.
