A couple of years ago, after converting my Captivate V4.0 to 5.5 – I discovered a bug where Captivate was not capturing SAP pop up screens (aka Selection Prompt screens). I worked with a few of the Adobe developers and they provided me a “temp” file (September 2011 timeframe) that would attempt to capture the missing screens. The “patch” was not really full-proof of bugs so I didn’t continue to use it consistently and was able to work around the bug a little since many of the modules were stable at the time. However, was told the problem would be fixed in future version.
I recently purchased the new eLearning suite 6.1 and the problem is in the new version (Captivate 6), as well. This is a MAJOR problem for a company our size that plans to develop a lot of training content and was originally intending on using Captivate and expanding our license use. Unfortunately, we will need alternate tool solutions if this issue can not be resolved in the current versions. Please advise. Thank you!
