Re: Captivate 6 - Getting fatal error message whenever I try to add/edit audio

Hi there,

Can you please confirm which Operating System is it?

• Launch Captivate, then go to edit > preferences > clear cache.

• Please try recreating the preferences:

Location for Captivate Preferences folder is:

Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData (hidden folder)\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 folder

           Windows XP:  C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 folder

           Mac:  /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 6 folder

You will have to close the Captivate 6 first and then rename the Captivate 6 folder to Captivate 6_OLD.

• If it is Windows 7, then run Captivate as admin (right click on Adobe Captivate icon, then run as administrator).

PS: Recreating the preferences will reset all customizations, workspace and settings.
