In Captivate 5.5 the quiz scope is static, so be sure to allow navigation only within the quiz scope. You can extend the quiz scope to the total file by inserting a scored interactive object on the first slide you want to include.
Also, check the quiz settings. Perhaps post a screenshot of those settings?
