I know, very annoying, and with the Acrobat issues there is even no way if you use PDF to have a poster image as before. But that is the solution for other publishing methods: provide a poster image. Mostly I end up making a snapshot (with Snagit) from the first slide and use that as poster image that you can insert using the Browse icon that is available when unchecking AutoPlay.
