".au" file when publishing to SCORM?

Hi all,

I have been having problems with our company's LMS working with courses that I published in SCORM 1.2 from Captivate 6. AICC seems to do fine. I finally got them to give me access to the test servers they use to transfer files over, and it came with instructions they are supposed to follow for the process.

In these instructions are the following lines specific to publishing to SCORM, but I am confused about point 3, sub bullet "a", because to my knowledge, there is no ".au" file that is generated for SCORM.

Is this a mistake in their instruction or am I missing something?

URL string for SCORM courses

1.1       Building your SCORM URL string

1. The URL string for your course will reference the alias name for the content server.

http://content.SAMPLE.dev.SAMPLESITE.com

2. The SCORM reference in the next portion of your URL string

There is a scorm_wrapper subfolder in every business folder that contains the main_content_wrapper.html file

http://content.SAMPLE.dev.SAMPLESITE.com/FOLDER/scorm_wrapper/main_content_wrapper.html

3. The final portion of the URL string references the actual directory where you placed your course files.

http://content.SAMPLE.dev.SAMPLESITE.com/FOLDER/scorm_wrapper/main_content_wrapper.html?CONTENT_URL=http://content.SAMPLE.dev.SAMPLESITE.com/FOLDER/COURSEID/index_debug.h tml

           A)   Identifying the final portion of your URL string will be in the file with the extension .au

You will open the .au file in NOTEPAD you will see the URL string in the file.  This is the part goes after “?CONTENT_URL=”
