I'm making some progress but I'm having ... issues.
- I'm not at all clear on the licensing of Packager/PhoneGap. We have an Apple Enterprise license, fwiw. Does using Packager/PhoneGap require a subscription above and beyond a Captivate license?
- If we purchase Captivate 7, what are our limitations for Packager?
- If we use a subscription plan for Captivate, what are our limitations for Packager?
- Captivate is not in the Creative Cloud subscription.
- My Captivate capture is 1152x864. This is exactly 4:3 aspect ratio and using our old ADT-based conversion was scaled to perfectly fit both 1024x768 iPad and iPad2 as well as 2048x1536 3rd and 4th gen iPads.
- If I do not check "Scalable HTML Output" during Captivate publish, the resulting HTML5 is larger than the screen on my 3rd Gen iPad (???)
- If I do check "Scalable HTML Output", then it is scaled to fit and seems to work reasonbly well.
- Can you clarify your "may not work on iPads" comment?
- The iPad status bar with clock, etc, remains displayed in the PhoneGap application. Since our capture is exactly 4:3, that throws off the size and there are ugly white bars down the sides of the application.
- Is there a setting somewhere to go really full screen?
- If not, is there a setting to make the unused space black instead of white?
- How do I control the properties of the generated app? The PhoneGap website references a config.xml file but there is no such file in the generated html. So I think that the Packager Windows app is ... helping somehow. I need to set at least the following things:
- The version number of my generated app?
- Icons for at least 72x72 pixels and 144x144 pixels
- I generated an apk file for Android and sideloaded it onto my Nexus 10 (Android 4.2.2). Not good results. The first screen came up OK but after that nothing displayed except the highlight boxes around my clickspots.
