Is very hard to tell without seeing your timeline or properties for the smartshape (or advanced actions associated with it for that matter). I would say as a simple solution, make sure the smartshape starts exactly the same as the others on your timeline. Also make sure there's not even a .1 second fade, as that would give the same effect. Those might be too simplistic and not even be remotely close what's going on with your slide, but at least worth checking out.
