Unfortunately it would seem you are expecting Adobe Captivate to behave like Camtasia Studio. Sorry to say there is no provision for recording from webcam. For PIP video, you need to have a second video clip already recorded and available. Then you insert the PIP so it overlays the video you recorded. When you click Insert > PIP Video, you browse to and select the clip you want to add. After you add it, you are then free to drag it and size it as you like on top of the existing recording.
